Welcome to ChessClues. By downloading and using this app you agree to these terms. Please read them before you start training.

1. What the app is

ChessClues is a chess training app: a Pattern Atlas of the tactics each opening produces, puzzles from real club games, trap walkthroughs and endgame basics. It is a learning tool, not a chess engine, and it does not analyse your games move by move.

2. Local progress only

Your progress, streaks, spaced-repetition cards, chosen openings and settings are stored only on your device. Deleting or reinstalling the app removes them. There are no accounts and no cloud save.

3. Purchases

Some openings and levels are unlocked with All Access, sold as a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. The yearly subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Use "Restore purchases" in Settings after a reinstall or on a new device. Refunds are handled by the store, not by us.

4. No guarantees

The app is provided "as is". We are not responsible for losses arising from its use, including rating points.

5. Changes

These terms may be updated. The version published on our website (linked in the app and the store listing) is the current one; continued use after a change means you accept it.

6. Data

We collect no personal information. See the Privacy Policy: the only part of the app that uses the network is the store purchase system.
