Summary

Speech JAM is a speaking coach and speaking-games app. Your voice is analysed entirely on your device. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no crash reporters. The only thing that uses the network is the in-app purchase system (Apple App Store / Google Play, through our purchase provider). Anything else leaves the phone only if you share it yourself.

Microphone and recordings

• The app records only after you tap the record button, and only for the take you are speaking.
• Audio is transcribed and scored on the device by a speech model bundled inside the app (whisper.cpp) and our own scoring engine. No audio, transcript or score is uploaded to us or anyone else.
• Each take's audio is kept in the app's private storage for 30 days (the Replay Reel) so you can replay it, then deleted automatically. The scores and transcript of a take stay in the app's history on your device until you delete the app. The first-run calibration recording is deleted as soon as it has been measured.
• The rivals' voices are generated on the device by a bundled voice model (or your phone's own text-to-speech); nothing is sent to a voice service.

Progress and settings

Scores, transcripts, personal bests, streaks, match results, calibration values, your Terms acceptance and your Pro status are stored only on your device (a local SQLite database and app preferences). They are removed when you delete the app. There is no cloud save.

In-app purchases

When you view or buy Speech JAM Pro:

• Payment is handled entirely by Apple App Store / Google Play. We never see your card details, name or address.
• To unlock Pro and restore purchases, the app checks your purchase status with our purchase provider using an anonymous, app-generated user ID. The provider receives that ID and your purchase history for this app (plus technical details such as device type, OS and app version), and nothing that identifies you by name or email.
• This information is used only to provide your purchase. It is not used for advertising, profiling or tracking, and it is never sold.

Sharing (only when you choose)

Result cards, weekly reports and Shared Match codes are created on your device. They go nowhere unless you tap Share (or copy a code) and choose a destination yourself. A Match code is a game seed, not a recording.

Notifications

The daily Daily Debate reminder is scheduled on your device. It uses no push service, server or token. You can turn it off in your phone's notification settings.

Children

Speech JAM is a general-audience app (4+ / Everyone). It is not directed at children, and we collect no personal information from anyone. Purchases are protected by the platform's parental controls (Ask to Buy / purchase authentication).

Your choices

• Microphone: you can revoke access in your phone's settings; the app then cannot score speech.
• Recordings: audio expires after 30 days; delete the app to remove all takes, scores and settings at once.
• Restore purchases: on the Pro screen. Purchase records live in your Apple / Google account.

Changes

Material changes ship with the app update that introduces them; the effective date above reflects the latest revision.
