Summary
Fun Kitchen is a cooking game and recipe guide. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no crash reporters and no social features. Your recipes, runs, scores and settings live in the app's local storage on your device. The app uses the network only for in-app purchases (RevenueCat and the App Store / Google Play). It never opens web links or visits websites.
Your recipes and progress
Recipes you write, paste, import or invent, your saved versions, favourites, scores, progress, meal plans, shopping lists, pantry, diet and allergy choices, your plating looks, meal tables, the daily plate streak, the list of dishes you cooked today and settings are stored on your device. They are removed when you delete the app.
Importing a recipe
- From pasted or shared text: text you paste (a caption, notes, or a whole recipe page you copied) or share into the app is read on your device. The app keeps only the recipe it finds, reworded; the rest of the pasted text is not kept, and nothing is sent to us. The app does not open links. When you share a page from Safari to Fun Kitchen, Safari gives the app the text, or the recipe data, of the page you are looking at. It is read on your device. The app does not load the page or follow its links.
- From a photo, screenshot or PDF (iPhone and iPad): the camera or photo library is used only when you choose a photo. The words are read on your device; the photo is never uploaded or kept by us.
- From a file: a
.funkitchenfile you open is read on the device.
Voice, timers and sound
Step read-outs and the judges' voices are produced on your device (the app's built-in voice and your phone's own text-to-speech). Kitchen sounds are played from the app itself. The app does not use the microphone.
Backups, exports and sharing
Backups, recipe and family-vault exports (.funkitchen files), shared plans and shopping lists and share cards (your plate, your plating, your meal on the table) create a file only when you ask, and hand it to the system share sheet so you choose where it goes. We never receive a copy. Share-card pictures and captions are made on your device and go only where you choose in the system share sheet. Restore reads a file you pick.
In-app purchases
Pro Kitchen is sold through the Apple App Store / Google Play, with RevenueCat handling the purchase records:
- Payment is handled entirely by Apple / Google. We never see card details, name or address.
- To unlock Pro Kitchen and restore purchases, the RevenueCat SDK sends an anonymous app-generated user ID and the purchase history / receipt of this app to RevenueCat, together with basic technical details it needs to process them (device type, OS and app version, locale, store country). No name, email, account or recipe is involved.
- The last store answer is saved on the device so Pro Kitchen keeps working offline.
- This data is used only to provide and restore purchases. It is not used for advertising, profiling or tracking, and it is not sold. RevenueCat's privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
No advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters, no social logins.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and is not directed at children. We collect no personal information from anyone, including children. Purchases are gated by the platform's own parental controls.
Your choices
- Camera and photos: allow or revoke access in system settings at any time.
- Delete local data: delete recipes in the app, or delete the app (export a backup first if you want to keep your recipes).
- Purchases: restore from the Pro Kitchen screen; manage purchase records through your Apple / Google account.
Changes
Material changes ship with the app update that introduces them; the effective date above reflects the latest revision.
