Happy Heads Apps

Terms and disclaimer

Effective date: 2026-10-09

Welcome to Fun Kitchen. By downloading and using this app, you agree to the following terms. Please read them before you start cooking.

1. The short version

Fun Kitchen gives recipe guidance only. Checking ingredients, allergens and food safety is up to you.

2. What Fun Kitchen does

Fun Kitchen lets you practise recipes in a play kitchen where mistakes cost nothing, then cook them for real with step-by-step guidance, timers and voice. It also lets you write, import or invent your own recipes, play cook-offs, and plan your week with a shopping list. The simulator is a guide, not a guarantee of how a dish will turn out; please supervise children when they cook for real.

3. Local save only

Your recipes, progress, scores and settings are stored on your device. If you delete the app they are gone, unless you used the in-app backup to save a copy somewhere you control. We have no account system and cannot recover your data.

4. Your recipes

We claim no rights in the recipes you write yourself. They are yours. You can back them up, and share or export the ones you wrote, using the app's share and backup tools. You are responsible for anything you share outside the app.

5. Importing recipes

Fun Kitchen does not open web links or read websites. If you share a web page to the app from your browser, the browser hands over the text of that page; the app itself never fetches it. You bring a recipe in yourself: text you copy and paste (a caption, your own notes, or a whole recipe page you selected and copied), text shared from another app, a photo, screenshot or PDF (iPhone and iPad), or a .funkitchen file. These rules apply to every recipe you bring in that way ("an import").

For your own kitchen only. Imports are for your personal, home, non-commercial cooking. Please do not use the app to collect recipes in bulk, to build a cookbook, website or product, or to pass off someone else's work as your own.

You are responsible for what you import. Only import a recipe you are allowed to use for your own cooking, such as your own, one a friend or family member gave you, or one its maker published for people to cook from. The words, photos, videos and stories that come with a recipe often belong to the person who made them, even when the list of ingredients and the basic method do not. By importing, you confirm that you have the right to use the recipe this way. The first time you import, the app asks you to agree to this.

What the app keeps. When you import, the app reads the recipe on your device and keeps only what it needs to cook: the dish name, the ingredients and amounts, and the steps, which the app rewrites in its own plain cooking words so they work in the kitchen. If the text you paste names where it came from, the app may keep the site's name so you remember the original. It does not keep the rest of what you pasted, the page's photos, videos, ads or the writer's story, and it does not upload anything to us. A photo you choose is read on your device and is not stored by the app. Because steps are rewritten, an import may not match the original word for word; the original is always the better source for the writer's own words, tips and photos.

Imports stay on your device. You cannot share, send or export an import's recipe (its ingredients, amounts and steps) from the app, and imports are not included in recipe shares. A share card of a dish you cooked, plated or put on a table is a picture the app draws, with the dish name and no recipe text, and it can be shared whatever recipe the dish came from. The app keeps recipe sites, creators, web addresses and handles out of dish names, so a share card never names or suggests a connection to them. If a backup you make for yourself contains imports, it is for restoring your own devices only.

What you can do with your recipes, free or with Pro Kitchen. These rules cover every recipe of your own: the ones you import (whatever you label them: imported, your own or family) and the ones you write, save from the kitchen or invent. Their ingredients and steps stay readable on your device, always, at no cost. What the app adds on top is the kitchen: playing the recipe in Watch, Learn, Cook-off and cook-along.

Pro Kitchen pays for the kitchen features, not for owning or keeping anyone's recipe.

Not connected to the source. Websites, apps and creators you import from are not connected to us, and we are not connected to them. An import does not mean they approve of Fun Kitchen, or that we approve of them. Their names and brands belong to them.

No promises about imported recipes. We did not write, test or check imported recipes. Amounts, times, temperatures, allergens and diet labels may be missing, wrong or changed when the recipe is read and reworded. Check an imported recipe against the original, and use your own judgement on food safety, allergies and whether food is cooked through.

Permission you give us. So the app can work, you let it read, store, reword and show your imports on your device, only for you. We get nothing else, and we never see your imports.

Following the rules of other services. Importing does not change the terms of the site or app the recipe came from. Please follow them too.

Recipe owners. If you made a recipe and believe Fun Kitchen is being used in a way that harms your rights, please write to hsantosh20@yahoo.com with a link to your work, what concerns you, and how to reach you. We take these messages seriously. Imports live only on players' devices, so we cannot see or delete them, and the app never visits your site: it only reads text a player copied and pasted themselves. We will look at every message and, where it is fair, change how the app treats that content.

We may change the import feature. We may change or limit how importing works at any time, for example at a recipe owner's request.

6. Pro Kitchen

Pro Kitchen opens every dish in every mode, every lesson, the Signature version of every dish, as many recipes of your own as you like with the kitchen features for every one of them for as long as Pro Kitchen is active (see section 5), and the full Invention Kitchen. The free version includes a sample of dishes from every shelf, the basics shelf of the Invention Kitchen, and 10 recipes of your own in total, each with 7 days of kitchen play. Pro Kitchen is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play as a 3-month pass (a one-time purchase that ends by itself and does not renew), a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase; the store shows the price before you buy. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. The yearly subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Use "Restore purchases" after a reinstall or on a new device. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms, not by us. Diet, allergy and safety information, your backups, and the ingredients and steps of every recipe of your own stay available whether or not you pay.

7. No guarantees

The app is provided "as is". We do our best to make it work well, but we are not responsible for losses that arise from using it, including the outcome of anything you cook.

8. Our work

The app, its design, its recipes, art, voices and engine belong to us. Please do not copy, take apart or redistribute the app or its content. Fun Kitchen's own recipes are written by us in our own words; they are not taken from any website, cookbook or creator.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated. The version published on our website (linked in the app and the store listing) is the current one; continued use after a change means you accept it.

10. Data

We do not collect personal information. Your recipes and photos stay on your device. The app uses the network only for the store purchase system (RevenueCat with the App Store or Google Play), which handles an anonymous ID and your purchase history, Importing never uses the network. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
