Welcome to MusicDream. By downloading and using this app, you agree to the following terms. Please read them before you start playing.

1. What MusicDream does

MusicDream listens to you hum, sing or play, writes what it hears down as notes, tab and sheet music, and scores you when you sing or play along. All transcription and scoring run on your device.

2. Your microphone

The app asks for microphone access so it can hear you. Audio is analysed on the device in real time. Nothing you hum, sing or play is sent to us or to anyone else. Takes you choose to record are saved only on your device, and only when you press record.

3. Local save only

Your songs, takes, progress, streaks and settings are stored on your device. If you delete the app they are gone, unless you used the in-app backup to save a copy somewhere you control. We have no account system and cannot recover your data.

4. Your songs and imports

MusicDream is made for personal practice. We claim no rights in the songs you hum, record or import. Music written by other people may be protected by copyright: you are responsible for having the right to use any music you record, import or transcribe, and for what you do with anything you export or share outside the app. We do not host, publish or distribute your songs. The bundled songbook contains public-domain pieces only.

5. Premium

MusicDream Premium opens the full songbook, every lesson, and unlimited hum or play-in takes, saved songs, imports and MusicXML export. The free version includes 25 takes, 10 saved songs, 10 songbook songs, the first two lessons of each course and five MusicXML exports. It is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase; the store shows the price before you buy. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings (the Premium screen links there). Use "Restore purchases" after a reinstall or on a new device. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms, not by us. Everything you made yourself, and your progress, stays available whether or not you pay.

6. Accuracy

The engine is good on a clear single melody and less certain on dense or noisy recordings. Transcriptions and scores are aids to practice, not guarantees, and any note can be corrected by hand.

7. No guarantees

The app is provided "as is". We do our best to make it work well, but we are not responsible for losses that arise from using it.

8. Our work

The app, its design and its engine belong to us. The pieces in the bundled songbook are public-domain compositions; the chord suggestions and editing in the app are ours. Please do not copy, take apart or redistribute the app or its code.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated. The version published on our website (linked in the app and the store listing) is the current one; continued use after a change means you accept it.

10. Data

We do not collect personal information, and nothing you hum, sing, play or import leaves your device. The only part of the app that uses the network is the store purchase system (RevenueCat with the App Store or Google Play), which handles an anonymous ID and your purchase history.
