Terms of Use — Speech JAM: Coach and Arcade

Welcome to Speech JAM: Coach and Arcade ("Speech JAM"). By downloading or using this app you agree to these terms. Please read them before you take the floor.

1. What Speech JAM is (and is not)

Speech JAM is a speaking-practice coach and a set of speaking games. Its scores are an automatic machine read of your delivery (pace, pauses, fillers, expression, vocabulary) computed on your phone. They can be wrong, especially on noisy recordings. Speech JAM is not speech therapy, medical, educational or professional advice, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition.

2. Your voice stays on your device

Every recording is analysed on your device. Recordings, transcripts and scores are stored only in the app's private storage, are automatically removed after 30 days (the Replay Reel), and are deleted when you delete the app. We never upload, listen to or receive your recordings. There is no account.

3. Sharing is your choice

Share cards and match codes are created on your device and are only sent anywhere when you choose to share them through your phone's share sheet. A match code is a game seed, not a recording.

4. Pro purchases

Some modes and packs are unlocked by Speech JAM Pro, sold as a subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices are shown in the store before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and are managed in your Apple ID or Google Play settings. Refunds are handled by the store under its own terms. Use Restore purchases on the paywall after a reinstall or a new device.

5. Fictional characters

The moderators and every cartoon rival are fictional. Their challenges, calls and speeches are generated for play and are not opinions about you or anyone else.

6. Our content

The app's games, rules, voices, art and topic packs belong to us. Enjoy them fully, but please do not copy, extract or republish them without written permission. You may share your own scorecards and gameplay freely.

7. Respectful use

Please do not reverse-engineer the app, tamper with purchases or use the app in a way that breaks the law.

8. No guarantees

The app is provided "as is". We are not responsible for losses that result from using it, including lost local data if you delete or reinstall the app.

9. Changes

These terms may change. If they do, the version shown in the app and published at https://happyheadsapps.netlify.app/speechjam/terms is updated and the effective date changes.

10. Data

We do not collect personal information. The only data that leaves the device is the anonymous purchase status handled by the app stores and our purchase provider. See the Privacy Policy for details: https://happyheadsapps.netlify.app/speechjam/privacy
